Sometimes an immensely famous and quite old band chooses to go on tour again, and the thought occurs to you:

Wow! What a treat. I hope they bring their LifeAlert in case they fall down and can’t get up.

That is exactly the sentiment I hope to engender with the resuscitation of this blog.

Why the updates to Lest Our Hearts Be Shattered?

Simply put, it’s time to begin sharing thoughts publicly again. Read more on the About page for what you can expect from LOHBS going forward.

What will be different about the blog?

Going forward, I will spend more time in research and reflection before plublishing a post. My aim is to provide well-reasoned, discerning thoughts on topics both trending and ancient to assist the modern Christian (especially in the USA, though others I hope find them helpful) in living more faithfully for God.

The first phase of the blog (2008 – 2013) saw this platform used as a feed of my thoughts and reflections, often quickly put together or as a method of processing. Blogs are great for all this things, but I have less of a need to make such thoughts public now.

What changes are in the works?

There are a number of things I still want to complete to make this blog easy to read and navigate.

I’ll update the main Post template, so that the right side of the screen is no longer dominated by the menu photo.

I’ll add an easy way to browse the Blog’s categories, both with and without viewing the Phase One blogs (2008 – 2013) since the new slate of blogs will be of a different nature.

I’m old. Can I just get an email when you post?
